Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Responsibilities
- Design, improve, and deploy infrastructure services in AWS.
- Collaborate with product engineers to deploy features and improve existing infrastructure.
- Operate and scale production systems supporting CompanyCam’s web and mobile applications.
- Tune database operations and performance, search infrastructure, and observability and monitoring systems.
- Improve system reliability, resilience, security, and availability.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of AWS networking, relational database management, and cloud storage services.
- Production experience operating and tuning PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
- Experience deploying containerized applications with GitHub Actions and Terraform.
- Ability to script in Bash, Ruby, and/or Python.
- Experience with AWS ECS/EKS Fargate.
- Experience operating or tuning OpenSearch/Elasticsearch clusters.
- Ability to analyze existing systems, identify improvements, break down complex tasks, and document solutions.
- Permanent, current residence somewhere in the U.S. is required.
- Nice-to-have experience includes Datadog, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, PgBouncer, Aurora PostgreSQL, OpenSearch, high-availability and resilient system design, AI/LLM tools for infrastructure workflows, and presenting technical educational content.
