Responsibilities

  • Design and develop infrastructure software or hardware components with a focus on cloud services.
  • Modernize legacy processes into repeatable Infrastructure-as-Code pipelines across cloud, on-premises, and edge environments.
  • Build and operate distributed, large-scale systems in Google Cloud Platform.
  • Maintain high availability and disaster recovery readiness across infrastructure environments.
  • Manage continuous integration, system lifecycle planning, licensing, capacity, inventory, and end-of-life strategy.
  • Resolve complex technical issues, perform system tuning, and oversee monitoring and alerting.
  • Create technology roadmaps, maintain technical documentation, and communicate project status to leadership.
  • Collaborate with security, network, operational, offshore, and cross-functional teams.
  • Support vendor contracts, service-level agreements, installations, and enterprise services.
  • Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation and off-hour maintenance activities.
  • Mentor and cross-train team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical qualifications.
  • 5+ years of experience managing large infrastructures using automation and cloud technologies, including cost optimization and Windows, Linux, compute, and storage environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, Git, CI/CD, configuration management, and API integrations.
  • Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform, Windows Server, Linux, and hypervisor platforms.
  • Proficiency in BASH, Python, or PowerShell.
  • Ability to assess technical-change risk, identify incidents and problems, determine root cause, and work across multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Preferred experience with Terraform, Packer, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Ansible Automation Platform, and API integrations.
  • Preferred knowledge of infrastructure architecture, NetApp, IBM Flash Storage, IBM VIOS, Cisco UCS, Cisco MDS, Cohesity, Palo Alto, Meraki, CloudGenix, BigFix, Satellite, Kubernetes, OpenShift, BMC Control-M, Google G-Suite, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Strong analytical, prioritization, interpersonal, problem-solving, planning, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
