Base Salary
$190k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and architecture of scalable, high-performance distributed systems and healthcare applications.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, especially senior engineers.
- Write, review, and maintain full-stack code using languages and frameworks including NestJS, .NET, TypeScript, and React.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and engineering leaders to define requirements and align technical work with business goals.
- Manage and prioritize multiple projects across the software development lifecycle from planning and design through deployment and production monitoring.
- Resolve complex technical issues through debugging, performance tuning, and code optimization.
- Drive continuous improvement through code reviews, automated testing, internal tooling, CI/CD practices, developer-experience improvements, and technical-debt reduction.
- Lead ownership of cloud infrastructure, front-end and back-end services, databases, and deployment pipelines.
- Participate in Agile planning, backlog refinement, estimation, and other development ceremonies.
- Serve as an AI tool champion and stay current with emerging technologies.
- Participate in an on-call rotation as an incident-escalation subject matter expert approximately once every two to three months, including weekends and holidays.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience designing, building, and deploying large-scale distributed systems and microservices architectures.
- Proven ability to lead complex system design and architecture with a focus on scalability and performance.
- Experience providing technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, particularly senior engineers.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with Product, Design, and engineering leadership.
- Strong understanding of relational databases, query optimization, and data modeling.
- Expertise in at least one framework such as TypeScript, Next.js, NestJS, or React.
- Hands-on experience with .NET and C#.
- Practical experience with AWS or GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, cloud services, application services, databases, and deployment pipelines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently, remain curious, and solve problems creatively.
- Ability to participate in the required on-call escalation rotation.
