Responsibilities

  • Design and develop LIMS modules, integrations, and custom application features.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions while following coding, security, and development standards.
  • Develop and maintain APIs, data pipelines, and interfaces connecting LIMS with laboratory instruments and enterprise systems.
  • Oversee data migration, transformation, and quality assurance processes.
  • Mentor junior developers and technical staff and provide technical input on architecture and system improvements.
  • Develop and execute unit and integration tests, troubleshoot issues, and provide third-level support for escalated incidents.
  • Support user acceptance testing and collaborate with Business Analysts, QA, laboratory staff, and external vendors.
  • Maintain technical documentation and ensure systems meet audit, regulatory, and data integrity requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of software development experience, preferably in laboratory informatics or enterprise systems.
  • Proficiency in C#, Java, Python, or similar programming languages and database technologies including SQL Server and Oracle.
  • Experience with LIMS development or configuration, or similar laboratory or ERP systems, is strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of system integration, APIs, and data management.
  • Ability to lead projects, mentor team members, solve complex problems, communicate effectively, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Must be available for occasional travel of approximately 3–4 weeks per year.
  • Ability to meet the stated physical demands, including extended computer use and lifting or carrying equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
