Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, build, deploy, and maintain robust services for the DTEX InTERCEPT platform.
- Develop scalable Python services and maintain high-quality code, testing, automation, and documentation.
- Implement and manage containerized deployments using Podman and Kubernetes.
- Design efficient storage and retrieval strategies for high-volume data in OpenSearch and PostgreSQL.
- Improve search relevance, performance, and user experience through tuning, optimization, and experimentation.
- Design and implement features for the platform’s big data analytics capabilities.
- Build and scale production APIs in cloud environments.
- Apply system security, data-protection, industry-standard, and compliance best practices.
- Own work across design, deployment, and iterative improvements while mentoring junior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent, plus 5+ years of software development experience.
- In-depth experience with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch.
- Proven ability to write high-quality Python or other functional/object-oriented language code and ship impactful software.
- Proficiency with AWS or GCP and orchestration technologies including Kubernetes, EKS, ECS, Docker Swarm, or Mesos.
- Experience designing and scaling production APIs in cloud environments.
- Proficiency with Django, PostgreSQL, or another SQL database.
- Knowledge of Linux Systemd, daemons, services, and cron is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication, organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities.
- Startup experience and experience using IDE-embedded AI are preferred.
