Responsibilities
- Modify core shaders and develop new rendering technologies.
- Translate art direction and concept art into rendering code, shaders, and systems.
- Create tools and efficient pipelines for content production.
- Integrate third-party rendering solutions.
- Debug visual and performance issues and optimize rendering challenges.
- Collaborate with artists and multidisciplinary game development teams.
- Mentor junior programmers and stay current with industry rendering techniques.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- At least five years of industry or related experience.
- Experience shipping at least one AAA console and/or PC game.
- Previous experience in a senior Graphics or Rendering Programmer role.
- Strong 3D mathematics skills and C/C++ experience.
- Experience with modern GPUs and low-level graphics APIs on current-generation gaming platforms.
- Experience with graphics debugging tools and performance profiling.
- Familiarity with current Unreal Engine technology is desired.
- Exposure to Houdini, Substance Painter, and Z-Brush in a graphics pipeline is a bonus.
- Candidates located in Quebec must be proficient in French and English.
