Responsibilities
- Understand product test requirements and design corresponding test cases.
- Author test plans based on business and testable requirements.
- Implement model-based testing and efficient test generation.
- Review test cases with peers and collaborate with development teams to identify and capture coverage.
- Define testing criteria, parameters, scope, and out-of-scope areas, and participate in UAT.
- Automate appropriate stages of the test lifecycle using VB macros, scheduling, and GUI automation.
- Design and execute automation frameworks and reporting.
- Set up test environments, develop and execute validation tests, and cover software usage scenarios.
- Create clear defect reports, track replication patterns, and report test progress.
- Prepare test status dashboards, test execution reports, and stakeholder updates.
- Provide usability and serviceability feedback and connect validation results to quality risks.
- Maintain customer-focused status reporting, trackers, and timely responses while meeting project and customer SLAs.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in robotics, with the posting specifying a 5–8 year range.
- Hands-on experience with Embedded Linux, including Ubuntu LTS or Yocto, and robotics platform and use-case validation.
- Strong validation expertise in ROS 2, navigation, motion planning, control, and SLAM for autonomous robots.
- Experience with Gazebo or Ignition and simulation-driven test-plan development and validation.
- Proficiency with CPU, GPU, and NPU acceleration for robotics workloads, including ROCm or HIP and accelerated perception and AI pipelines.
- Experience validating Vulkan and OpenGL graphics stacks and integrating visualization and rendering into robotics applications and simulators.
- Experience with Docker or Podman for containerized robotics development and validation workflows.
- Familiarity with V4L2, cameras, IMUs, LiDAR, and robotics sensor integration.
- Exposure to Xen Hypervisor, embedded or robotics virtualization, and multi-OS robotics stacks.
- Understanding of requirements-to-test traceability, release qualification, and structured validation workflows.
