Responsibilities
- Lead technical customer engagements for Red Hat Lightwell in partnership with Account Solution Architects and Account Executives.
- Present and defend Red Hat’s software supply chain value proposition to developers, engineering leaders, and security and compliance stakeholders.
- Configure, execute, and troubleshoot customer builds using Lightwell repositories alongside customer engineers.
- Deliver technical workshops, deep dives, proofs of concept, bake-offs, hackathons, and implementation guidance.
- Advise on artifact management, repository mirroring, pipeline integration, disconnected environments, and air-gapped delivery.
- Demonstrate capabilities including hardened container images, artifact signing, attestation, SBOM generation, pipeline policy enforcement, and runtime security.
- Provide product feedback, ecosystem requests, coverage gaps, and competitive intelligence to the Lightwell business unit and engineering teams.
- Conduct community outreach, conference speaking, blog writing, customer advocacy, and enablement for Red Hat Technical Sales teams.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of combined experience in software engineering, build or release engineering, platform engineering, DevSecOps, or technical sales.
- Hands-on experience working in customer or production build environments, including configuring, executing, and troubleshooting builds.
- Working command of at least two of Maven, pip, and npm, including dependency resolution, transitive dependencies, lockfiles, and version constraints.
- Experience with enterprise artifact repositories, internal mirrors, registry configuration, build reproducibility, disconnected delivery, and multi-language codebases.
- Understanding of SLSA Level 3, SPDX, CycloneDX, SBOM lifecycle, artifact signing, HSM-backed signing, attestation, build and admission enforcement, VEX, and CSAF.
- Knowledge of provenance, typosquatting, dependency confusion, vulnerability triage, upstream open source contribution, and remediation practices.
- Experience delivering technical presentations and business-value sessions to engineering, leadership, and executive audiences.
- Preferred experience in sales engineering, technical sales, enterprise software, SaaS, systems integration, Java or Python development, CI/CD ownership, artifact repositories, internal developer platforms, DevSecOps, application security, or product security.
- Preferred foundational knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, OpenShift, Ansible Automation Platform, compliance regimes, and control automation.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet business and customer needs.
