Responsibilities
- Architect and design global deployments for Commvault Software and SaaS.
- Design new solutions, service-delivered software features, and enhancements to existing software.
- Engage customers to understand their data and information management environments.
- Design, implement, and remediate modern data protection, multicloud, archive, compliance, ransomware recovery, disaster recovery, and operational improvement solutions.
- Advise customers on cyber recovery and create, agree, and implement cyber recovery proposals.
- Create high- and low-level design documentation for complex enterprise architectures.
- Assess technical readiness and prerequisites for project progression.
- Perform data migrations from legacy backup infrastructure to new infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot complex systems across development, test, and production environments.
- Investigate incidents, develop resolutions, and recommend improvements for protection and stability.
- Lead diagnosis of complex product problems and recommend solutions with minimal oversight.
- Design and implement software automation for manual processes.
- Collaborate with peers across sites and vendors while following technical best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven hands-on software architecture experience.
- Experience designing or operating Commvault enterprise solutions.
- Consulting experience in the backup, recovery, and data management industry.
- Public cloud experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Experience with SAN/NAS storage hardware such as Pure, Dell/EMC, HDS, and NetApp.
- A proven track record designing data protection or information management solutions.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals, including topologies and firewalls.
- Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux servers, VMware, Hyper-V, OpenStack, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Docker.
- Experience with backup and recovery for Exchange, SharePoint, MSSQL, Oracle, O365, Salesforce, and OneDrive/Google Drive.
- Strong experience with DevOps and modern CI/CD approaches.
- Experience with Azure performance tools, network monitoring tools, and system tools for memory and resource consumption.
- Understanding of agile development.
- Proven experience building, testing, and maintaining complex testing software platforms.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, organizational, documentation, and configuration-management skills.
