Base Salary
$90k - $120k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable enterprise search solutions using Apache Solr and SolrCloud.
- Configure collections, cores, schemas, managed schemas, dynamic fields, analyzers, and indexing pipelines.
- Develop and optimize queries, filters, facets, boosting, highlighting, spell check, synonyms, and relevancy models.
- Analyze and improve search performance, indexing efficiency, and query response times.
- Administer and troubleshoot Solr deployments, including index corruption, replication, clusters, sharding, and high availability.
- Integrate Solr with Java-based and web applications through REST APIs.
- Collaborate with business analysts and application teams to define search requirements and recommend search architecture and best practices.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Apache Solr and SolrCloud.
- Expertise in indexing, tokenization, stemming, analyzers, filters, scoring, schemas, query parsers, faceting, highlighting, and relevancy tuning.
- Experience with Solr administration, monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs and integration patterns.
- Experience with Java/J2EE-based applications, Linux environments, scripting, and Git.
- Preferred experience with Elasticsearch, Guidewire applications, insurance or financial services, large-scale enterprise applications, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Preferred exposure to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, security, access control, and search governance.
