Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, maintain, and debug embedded software applications and system components using C and C++.
  • Develop Linux device drivers and low-level system software.
  • Perform hardware bring-up, BSP development, and hardware-software integration.
  • Design and implement solutions on RTOS platforms.
  • Troubleshoot kernel, driver, networking, and system-performance issues.
  • Provide technical direction, mentoring, code reviews, and project guidance to engineering teams.
  • Contribute to system architecture, technology decisions, quality initiatives, automation, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Architecture, Quality Engineering, and Customer Support.
  • Support customer escalations and deliver timely solutions for critical issues.
  • Help deliver projects on schedule while maintaining software quality, performance, and reliability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 8+ years of experience in embedded software development.
  • Strong programming expertise in C and C++.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Linux device driver development, Linux kernel architecture, system programming, and debugging.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one RTOS such as VxWorks, QNX, FreeRTOS, Zephyr, or Integrity.
  • Proven experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.
  • Experience with board bring-up, BSP development, hardware-software integration, and low-level system programming.
  • Experience using GDB, JTAG, kernel tracing, and performance analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with ARM, x86, or other embedded processor architectures.
  • Understanding of networking protocols, virtualization, and embedded system design principles.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments and CI/CD workflows.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, stakeholder-management, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and contribute effectively to a globally distributed team.
  • Strong customer focus and commitment to high-quality software solutions.
