Responsibilities
- Conduct security reviews of service designs, architecture documents, and system designs.
- Perform structured threat modeling to identify attack vectors and application architecture weaknesses.
- Coordinate penetration testing and validate security controls.
- Document, track, communicate, and verify remediation of security findings.
- Advise development teams on secure coding, authentication and authorization, cryptography, and data protection.
- Escalate high-severity security issues and support timely remediation.
- Maintain documentation of review outcomes, security decisions, and risk assessments.
- Use automated tools to improve security review efficiency.
Requirements
- Non-internship experience with web protocols, common security attacks, and remediation.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of system vulnerabilities and remediation, including penetration testing and exploit development or equivalent experience.
- Experience in areas such as application security frameworks, security code reviews, incident response, secure infrastructure, penetration testing, cloud security, AI security, identity and access controls, threat modeling, cryptography, threat intelligence, or secure software development.
- Coding or scripting experience in one or more languages such as Python, C, C++, Java, Ruby, or PowerShell.
- Preferred experience with AWS services or other cloud offerings.
- Preferred knowledge of domains including web application development, mobile security, cryptography, public key infrastructure, forensic security, SSL/TLS, malware, network security, threat intelligence, IoT security, and authentication.
- Preferred experience with Python, Perl, or Linux bash scripting and with security alert triage, response automation, front-line analysis, and escalation support.
