Responsibilities
- Build payment infrastructure that works across multiple countries, currencies, and regulatory regimes.
- Design multi-currency accounting and reconciliation systems at scale.
- Integrate with international banking systems and payment rails (SEPA, BACS, and SWIFT).
- Take on both 0-1 work (launching new markets) and 1-N work (scaling existing ones) simultaneously.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with compliance, product, ops, and external partners.
- Own problems end-to-end — from architecture to production reliability to partner integrations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend or platform engineering experience in high-scale production environments.
- Strong systems design skills and ability to build reliable, maintainable solutions.
- Experience working in fast-moving environments with high ambiguity and independent ownership.
- Comfort with distributed systems, performance optimization, and production reliability.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
