Responsibilities
- Design and develop software applications and features using Go and React.
- Build and maintain scalable distributed architecture and solutions.
- Collaborate with Product, Support, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to deliver products.
- Develop and collect metrics to drive continuous improvement of existing products.
- Deliver high-quality, testable features that follow reporting standards.
- Lead small development teams on projects when needed.
- Mentor engineering teammates and help improve their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of full-stack software engineering experience.
- Experience bringing new ideas forward and building consensus.
- Experience building and serving REST APIs with Go, preferably, or Java, Python, or a similar language.
- Experience with distributed cloud-based architectures, transactional outboxes, or queuing tools such as RabbitMQ, SQS, or Kafka.
- Required experience working with Claude or equivalent large language model tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Preferred experience with SQL-based relational databases through an ORM.
- Preferred familiarity with Prometheus, New Relic, or Datadog for production monitoring and alerting.
- Preferred DevOps experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerized microservices deployed with Kubernetes on AWS.
- Preferred history of delivering commercial APIs and web applications and prioritizing improvements based on stakeholder or customer feedback.
