Responsibilities
- Lead and scale a team of 6–8 Forward Deployed Engineers across strategic enterprise engagements.
- Own technical discovery, architecture reviews, engagement scoping, proposals, executive presentations, and deal strategy for major accounts.
- Serve as executive technical sponsor and primary customer contact while managing delivery quality, milestones, technical standards, and handoffs.
- Coach FDEs through complex builds, scoping decisions, customer relationships, and delivery challenges.
- Identify product gaps and integration friction and communicate actionable feedback to Product and Engineering.
- Build reusable FDE playbooks and create a partner FDE track by training and enabling GSI and consulting partners.
- Hire FDE talent, define performance standards, and develop career growth paths.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience leading technical teams that build and ship software in production.
- Experience with software development and coding in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience building and owning AI-native workflows in production and debugging real-world model failures.
- Ability to quickly diagnose complex enterprise engineering environments and scope high-leverage engagements.
- Experience building and scaling IC-level technical teams, with strong judgment around scoping, delivery, and customer enablement.
- Technical credibility in Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or a similar customer-facing technical function where writing and reviewing code is part of the job.
