Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate deployment systems across AWS and GCP.
- Develop operators, infrastructure tooling, and automation for bring-your-own-cloud deployments.
- Support enterprise client deployments and onboarding directly with client engineering and security teams.
- Partner with forward deployed engineering to scope requirements and deliver active engagements.
- Diagnose BYOC bottlenecks and improve operational capacity.
- Contribute to BYOC product architecture and technical decision-making.
- Harden deployment security, reliability, and observability in customer-controlled environments.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience building and operating backend or infrastructure systems in production.
- Proficiency in Python for backend development and infrastructure tooling.
- Deep familiarity with AWS or GCP, security, and deployment operations.
- Strong understanding of application network architecture, including VPCs, DNS, secrets, and proxies.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or Crossplane and GitOps workflows.
- Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with enterprise clients.
- Preferred experience with Kubernetes, multi-tenant architectures, customer-controlled deployments, AI applications, scientific computing, startups, significant architectural ownership, or scaling systems through rapid growth.
