Base Salary

$123k - $215k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership, engineering expertise, and direction to engineering teams while collaborating with business stakeholders, product teams, and cross-functional technology groups.
  • Analyze and elaborate user stories, design and develop software applications, and build automation tools.
  • Own the architecture, design, development, testing, and other technical aspects of assigned applications.
  • Perform hands-on development including coding, API specification, proof-of-concept work, code reviews, and testing.
  • Drive consistent development practices, tools, and shared components.
  • Understand integrations with related systems and platforms and contribute to technical blueprints and feature planning.
  • Identify opportunities to adopt new technologies and communicate solution designs to internal and external business partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Science Engineering, or a related field is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • At least 8 years of commercial software development experience is required.
  • Proficiency with distributed and multi-tier systems and strong programming skills in languages such as Java and Python.
  • Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Kafka, relational or NoSQL databases, and cloud-hosted solutions.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform, Google Cloud Storage, BigQuery, and Vertex AI.
  • Experience with automated release management using Maven, Salt, Git, and Jenkins.
  • Strong architecture design and modeling skills for complex systems and architectures.
  • Understanding of web technologies including HTTP and Apache, as well as Unix/Linux, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
  • Experience building and integrating AI/ML solutions into production systems, including familiarity with TensorFlow and PyTorch.
  • Experience with generative AI technologies, LLMs, prompt engineering, AI-powered application development, and Vertex AI model development, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Awareness of responsible AI practices such as model governance, bias mitigation, and explainability.
  • Knowledge of contact center ecosystems and the Genesys framework and architecture is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, collaboration, documentation, and continuous-improvement skills are required.
  • Employment eligibility to work in the United States is required.
