Base Salary
$172k - $209k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build fast, reliable, broadly adopted developer paths and infrastructure for Crusoe engineering.
- Identify and automate repetitive development work and sources of engineering friction.
- Develop libraries, tools, and pre-production environments for vetting service APIs and complex microservice interactions.
- Integrate internal tooling and vendor services to automate workflows, improve operational efficiency, and optimize security.
- Innovate across source code management, build systems, code review, CI/CD pipelines, platform runtimes, and telemetry.
- Establish a scalable culture of continuous quality delivery and build efficient systems that multiply engineering impact.
- Partner with the DevX team and broader organization to define Crusoe’s future software development practices and technical direction.
Requirements
- Previous experience building developer tools or infrastructure for engineering teams.
- Expertise evaluating technical tradeoffs and understanding how infrastructure decisions affect developer productivity.
- Fluent knowledge of industry-standard AI tooling, build tooling, containerization, and open-source development frameworks.
- Professional experience managing or developing within Kubernetes clusters and strong understanding of container orchestration.
- Experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Release Engineering, or a similar productivity-focused discipline.
- Deep understanding of automated testing infrastructure and integrating it into CI/CD pipelines.
- Expertise in modern programming languages, specifically Go, and advanced proficiency with Git-based workflows using GitLab or GitHub.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related analytical field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Active open-source community involvement and experience solving and automating complex technical problems are preferred.
