Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
- Contribute to the device communication layer connecting cloud platforms to hardware.
- Develop features across the full stack, including web front-end features.
- Participate in the entire development lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment.
- Work directly with access control hardware for testing and debugging.
- Write unit and integration tests to ensure quality.
- Collaborate with product managers and hardware engineers across time zones.
- Share knowledge and learn from senior engineers through code reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong object-oriented programming skills, with C# experience preferred.
- Experience developing backend services and HTTP APIs.
- Familiarity with database design and development (SQL).
- Experience with unit tests and CI/CD processes is a plus.
- Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks like Ember.js, Angular, or React.
- Experience with hardware, IoT, or device development is a plus.
- Good communication skills.
