Responsibilities
- Build and operate the internal developer platform and scalable multi-cloud infrastructure.
- Deliver self-service golden paths, reusable platform components, CI/CD templates, infrastructure-as-code modules, and observability services.
- Design, operate, manage, and optimize Kubernetes clusters across regions and environments.
- Operate, tune, and scale PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and other database and search clusters.
- Improve infrastructure security, reliability, observability, delivery performance, and cloud cost efficiency.
- Build developer-facing tools and collaborate with engineering teams to reduce toil and cognitive load.
- Moderate advanced technical discussions, provide effective feedback, and contribute as a technical leader.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or DevOps.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Strong software engineering skills, including Go or Python, and the ability to build reliable, usable developer-facing tools.
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes cluster operations.
- Experience managing and optimizing database and search clusters.
- Strong skills in containers, orchestration, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and observability engineering.
- Regular use of AI-assisted engineering tools.
- Strong English communication, organizational, collaboration, and technical discussion facilitation skills.
- Prior experience holding a Tech Lead position and a demonstrated track record of technical leadership.
- Preferred experience includes security-intensive environments, security-as-code, FinOps, AI/ML platform capabilities, and platform technologies such as Vault, Nomad, and Consul.
- Preferred experience includes Scaleway, OVHcloud, AWS, Microsoft Azure, Cloudflare, Elasticsearch, active tech-community participation, and connecting infrastructure decisions to business and user outcomes.
