Responsibilities
- Implement and support improvements that enhance software quality, operational efficiency, and delivery speed.
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines and apply DevOps best practices across development and operations.
- Work with containers, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, AWS cloud services, and other DevOps tooling.
- Translate stakeholder and business requirements into effective technical implementations.
- Act as a business subject matter expert and facilitate the transfer of business knowledge to the DevOps team.
- Manage and influence stakeholders to ensure services run effectively and engineering efforts are appropriately prioritized.
- Use monitoring tools to support system reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with Development, QA, IT Operations, Infosec, UCD, and other multidisciplinary teams.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of AWS and practical experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Experience with cloud computing, emerging technologies, databases, architecture, and system integration.
- Understanding of Kubernetes container orchestration and Helm package management.
- Knowledge of GitOps and experience with GitLab, Jenkins, or ArgoCD is desirable.
- Experience with Bash scripting, Java with Spring, Kafka, and Liquibase is desirable.
- Experience with monitoring tools for system reliability and performance.
- Willingness to travel and the right to work in the UK.
- Ability to attain UK Security Clearance.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing skills.
