Base Salary
$72k - $119k/yr
Responsibilities
- Perform moderate research, design, and software development assignments within a specific software functional area or product line.
- Write and review portions of detailed specifications for moderately complex system components.
- Complete simple bug fixes and resolve technical issues.
- Collaborate with development team members and stakeholders to understand product requirements and translate them into software designs.
- Work in Agile, Waterfall, and other development environments.
- Use AI-assisted and agentic development tools to accelerate software development, testing, debugging, and documentation.
- Review and validate AI-generated code for correctness, quality, security, and maintainability.
- Keep current with new technology developments and adopt emerging AI development practices.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of software engineering experience.
- BS in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency with data manipulation languages and familiarity with simple data models and data storage subsystems.
- Proficiency with development languages and technologies including Java/J2EE, JavaScript, JSP, C/C++, HTML, XML, SQL, Windows, UNIX, and .Net.
- Familiarity with code coverage and test-driven development.
- Basic knowledge of software development methodologies and data manipulation languages.
- Basic knowledge of AI-assisted and agentic software development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Codex, and Gemini.
- Ability to apply sound engineering practices when generating, refining, testing, debugging, and reviewing AI-generated code.
- Basic oral and written communication skills and willingness to learn new processes and technologies.
