Base Salary
$363k - $470k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define end-to-end perception architecture from sensing inputs through a fused world model.
- Partner with Compute and Sensing teams on hardware-software co-design and algorithm requirements.
- Lead the transition from current pipelines to AI innovation pipelines while maintaining safety and interpretability for edge deployment.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and determine their viability for the three-to-five-year roadmap.
- Establish and collaborate on latency and accuracy performance metrics across edge-computing environments.
- Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate partner-team projects to transition to new platforms and advance Perception systems.
Requirements
- Ph.D. or MS in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field focused on Computer Vision.
- 8+ years of experience in autonomous systems, including at least 2 years in an architectural role shipping and evolving perception systems.
- Deep expertise in Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Foundational Models, Sensor Fusion, State Estimation, SLAM, EKF/UKF, and camera, LiDAR, and radar sensing.
- Deep understanding of hardware acceleration, component budgeting, and transitions to new platforms.
- Strong foundations in 3D geometry, linear algebra, and probabilistic robotics.
- Production-grade C++ proficiency and Python proficiency for rapid prototyping.
- Ability to run experiments across system components and metrics platforms.
- Ability to communicate complex technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
