Base Salary
$190k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Advance Sanity’s MCP server with new capabilities, tools, and integrations for AI agents.
- Build agentic developer tools that generate Sanity applications, Studios, and full-stack frontend code.
- Design and run Braintrust evaluation suites to detect regressions and measure prompt and model improvements.
- Create rich React interfaces for Sanity MCP applications targeting platforms such as ChatGPT and Claude.
- Work across the stack by designing MCP tools, developing React components, and deploying microservices.
- Apply prompt engineering techniques to diagnose model failures and improve model behavior at scale.
- Write clean, well-tested TypeScript and ship reliable AI features used by thousands of developers.
- Collaborate with design, product, and engineering partners to iterate quickly and share learnings.
Requirements
- Strong TypeScript, React, and Node.js skills with the ability to work across frontend and backend systems.
- Experience shipping AI-powered code to production through professional work or side projects using OpenAI, Anthropic, or the Vercel AI SDK.
- Hands-on use of MCP in a development workflow, with experience building an MCP server considered a bonus.
- Familiarity with current AI models and tools, including Claude Opus 4.5, Gemini 3, GPT-5.2, Cursor, Claude Code, Lovable, and v0.
- Strong prompt intuition and the ability to diagnose model hallucinations, instruction failures, and other model behaviors.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with designers and product managers and explain complex AI concepts clearly.
- Based in the San Francisco Bay Area and able to work from the office at least two days per week.
