Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements, problem definitions, solution designs, and operational feasibility.
- Develop, install, document, and demonstrate software solutions using clear code and technical documentation.
- Design and build scalable data platforms and interactive web applications.
- Improve operations through systems analysis and recommendations for policy and procedure changes.
- Evaluate, test, approve, and recommend software products and tools.
- Analyze and summarize development and service issues and provide solutions.
- Document requirements and specifications and follow the software development lifecycle.
- Maintain current knowledge of development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment.
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Software Engineer or Software Developer.
- Experience designing interactive applications.
- Ability to develop software in Java, Ruby on Rails, C++, or other programming languages.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and ORM technologies such as JPA2 and Hibernate.
- Experience developing web applications with at least one popular web framework, including JSF, Wicket, GWT, or Spring MVC.
- Experience with test-driven development and software engineering tools.
- Ability to document requirements and specifications.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent.
