Base Salary
$121k - $171k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software.
- Build responsive and scalable web applications using React or Angular and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Design and implement robust, event-driven technical solutions and reusable components.
- Write and deploy containerized services to Kubernetes or Red Hat OpenShift environments.
- Promote engineering best practices across coding, testing, build, deployment, and software maintenance.
- Participate in Scrum activities, including sprint planning and backlog refinement, while providing technical input.
- Collaborate with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, QA, architects, business stakeholders, operations, and production support.
- Contribute to technical design, hands-on implementation, and strategy while managing changing priorities.
- Keep current with industry and Citi development practices, including Gen AI and DORA metrics.
Requirements
- 6+ years of hands-on software development experience.
- Expert-level frontend development experience with React or Angular.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience developing responsive and scalable web applications.
- Experience with test frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, or React Test Library.
- Strong event-driven architecture, design, and development skills.
- Experience writing and deploying containerized services to Kubernetes environments such as Red Hat OpenShift.
- Understanding of DevOps automation tools, TDD, and BDD testing.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum and mixed, virtual, and diverse environments.
- Strong communication, presentation, problem-solving, ownership, and independent working skills.
- Ability to adopt new technologies, challenge the status quo, manage deadlines, and handle changing priorities.
- Backend development experience with Java is desirable.
- Financial services experience and knowledge of resilient enterprise systems are desirable.
