Base Salary
$94k - $142k/yr
Responsibilities
- Analyze system requirements and identify program interactions and interfaces between impacted components and subsystems.
- Participate in sprint planning, tasking, and estimation for Python platform work.
- Design Python components and analytical services.
- Resolve bugs and improve application performance and maintainability.
- Research, evaluate, and champion open-source tooling for the Fixed Income quantitative and data-science community.
- Work with quants and data scientists to use platform capabilities and develop efficient analytical tools.
- Automate manual touchpoints in the technology delivery pipeline.
- Support occasional nights, weekends, or on-call responsibilities when required.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience building enterprise-scale, highly componentized applications using Python.
- Experience with Python web frameworks such as Django or Flask and data-science tools including Pandas, Polars, Streamlit, and Airflow.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes or OpenShift.
- Experience with Python LLM tools such as OpenAI, Vertex, or LangChain is preferred.
- Experience with DevOps technologies such as Ansible and Chef is preferred.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery environments, Jenkins, TeamCity, and code-quality tools such as SonarQube.
- Proficiency in software design patterns, coding standards, modularity, and prototyping.
- Experience with unit-testing frameworks such as PyTest.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle practices for Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
