Responsibilities
- Own complex technical initiatives end-to-end from technical design through production deployment and operational excellence.
- Set the architectural direction of backend distribution APIs and services for high availability, resiliency, and performance at scale.
- Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions with product, engineering, and infrastructure stakeholders.
- Prioritize technical initiatives, manage risks, and drive high-impact outcomes.
- Champion code quality, testing, CI/CD, observability, and incident-response practices.
- Establish standards for monitoring, alerting, on-call processes, and post-incident analysis.
- Perform code reviews and maintain high standards for technical rigor and maintainability.
- Mentor and coach engineers while fostering ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Influence AI-assisted development best practices and improve team productivity.
- Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing across teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or a comparable field, and/or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of experience building and operating highly available, distributed backend systems in production environments.
- Strong experience designing and developing large-scale backend services using Golang.
- Experience deploying and scaling services within cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with AI-assisted development workflows.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and source control systems such as Git, GitLab, or Jenkins.
- Experience with observability tools for metrics, logging, and monitoring such as Datadog or Grafana.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and technical explanation skills.
- Proactive, detail-oriented approach and ability to collaborate respectfully in tense situations.
