Responsibilities

Develop MES software for lens manufacturing.
Implement system functions, controls, and algorithms.
Write unit tests to achieve reasonable test coverage.
Work within an agile project using Azure DevOps.
Manage deployment of new or changed software versions into edge environments.
Use MSSQL, MongoDB, Kafka, and Docker to diagnose issues across running services.
Create and maintain training materials and documentation for owned services.
Report and resolve bugs and issues through code.
Support production sites and transfer an existing MES solution to a hybrid-cloud microservice environment.

Completed degree in computer science or business informatics, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum five years of experience in software development.
Advanced programming experience in Java.
Knowledge of the Linux environment.
Basic knowledge of Git for source code versioning.
Experience developing enterprise software.
Basic knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
Experience with Quarkus or Java Spring.
Very good written and spoken English, strong teamwork, and a customer- and service-oriented approach.
Initial experience working in international teams.
Preferred experience using Azure DevOps, developing distributed systems or microservice architectures, MongoDB, Kafka, React, Angular, or MES systems.
German language skills are a plus.
