Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership in software design, development, testing, and quality strategy.
  • Balance hands-on coding in C#, Angular, and APL with leadership of automation initiatives.
  • Define test architecture, drive automation-first practices, and monitor test coverage, metrics, and quality KPIs.
  • Mentor and coach engineers in development, automation, and testing skills.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for complex defects and implement preventive actions.
  • Improve tools, CI/CD pipelines, engineering processes, and software quality.
  • Collaborate with product owners, technical leads, architects, and cross-team technical forums.
  • Represent the combined QA and development approach and contribute to knowledge exchange.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience with combined development and QA responsibilities.
  • Expertise in .NET and C#, with working knowledge of Angular and readiness to learn APL.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership with the ability to mentor, motivate, and guide engineering teams.
  • Extensive experience with test automation, including end-to-end, API, and integration testing, and test strategy.
  • Experience architecting and developing enterprise-scale applications.
  • Extensive knowledge of cloud and on-premises infrastructures, including Microsoft Azure.
  • Deep expertise with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Git, TeamCity, and Azure DevOps.
  • Understanding of software architecture, design patterns, Domain-Driven Design, and XP practices.
  • Experience with relational databases and SQL.
  • Proficient written and spoken English communication skills at upper-intermediate level or higher.
  • Experience with Azure or similar cloud platforms, FinTech or capital markets, and financial domains or derivatives is preferred.
