Responsibilities
- Complete smaller assigned software projects and tasks autonomously with regular oversight on new or undefined problems
- Collaborate proactively with team members to identify and implement effective solutions
- Recommend solutions that improve existing processes
- Anticipate roadblocks and use business-unit processes and available resources to resolve issues
- Prioritize activities, manage expectations, and accurately estimate the effort required to meet objectives
- Seek guidance and input from team members and managers when needed
Requirements
- At least 3 years of relevant software development experience
- Experience building production-ready, scalable web applications
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language, ideally Scala and/or Java
- Experience with Elasticsearch or other relevant technologies such as Postgres
- Willingness to take on-call responsibilities
- Fluency in written and verbal English
- Legal authorization to work in the EU
- Experience with end-to-end, integration, or performance testing is a bonus
- Exposure to enterprise systems is a bonus
- Experience working at a company with a strong US presence is a bonus
