Responsibilities
- Develop future versions of the XiP calculation engine with improved performance, resource utilization, scalability, and functionality.
- Design, implement, and optimize distribution mechanisms for Citi’s Risk Calculation Engine.
- Analyze parallelization strategies and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and throughput.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute strategic changes to reach future scaling milestones.
- Collaborate with software engineers, DevOps teams, customers, and stakeholders to support reliable, secure, and scalable platform operations.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, technical discussions, knowledge sharing, and complex problem solving.
Requirements
- 11+ years of professional software development experience with Java.
- Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, or Quarkus.
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining large-scale distributed systems.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
- Experience with object-oriented programming and design patterns.
- Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and test automation frameworks such as JUnit or Mockito.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with RESTful API design and implementation.
- Exposure to NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra is a plus.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is a plus.
