Base Salary
$143k - $304k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive microarchitecture, firmware architecture, and development throughout the product lifecycle.
- Design and develop security subsystems and low-level hardware interfaces for Azure infrastructure.
- Debug and root-cause issues spanning multiple firmware and hardware subsystems.
- Evaluate third-party component security designs against Azure Platform Security requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and 8+ years of technical engineering experience; alternatively, a master’s degree and 6+ years, a doctorate and 3+ years, or equivalent experience.
- Proficient C programming skills and experience writing low-level drivers.
- Experience with security and embedded software or firmware development.
- Preferred experience with C/C++, Rust, encryption ciphers, security protocols, platform initialization, board support package porting, Linux driver initialization, and peripheral drivers.
- Experience with PCIe, I2C, eMMC, SPI, USB, UARTs, memory management, scheduling, interrupts, threading, debugging, and troubleshooting is preferred.
- Experience with penetration testing is preferred.
- Ability to satisfy Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements.
