Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Build and maintain full-stack features using Angular, React, TypeScript, Node.js, Express, and PostgreSQL.
- Design and document RESTful APIs with OpenAPI and Swagger for frontend and external integrations.
- Design and optimize PostgreSQL data models, indexes, queries, and reliability for secure government environments.
- Design, containerize, deploy, and operate backend services and cron-style schedulers in Kubernetes.
- Build responsive, reusable frontend components with Angular, React, and PrimeNG.
- Support data integration and extract/load pipelines using Airbyte and related technologies.
- Integrate AWS GuardDuty malware protection and apply secure coding and DevSecOps practices.
- Participate in code reviews and architecture sessions covering API contracts, schemas, and modular systems.
- Define guardrails, validation layers, and test coverage for AI-assisted development.
- Build automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
- Troubleshoot bugs, performance bottlenecks, availability issues, and observability challenges in containerized environments.
- Provide input on future adoption of Apache Spark, Apache Hudi, Elasticsearch, Kong, FastAPI, Flask, and Python-based APIs.
Requirements
- 6+ years of relevant software engineering experience with full-stack responsibilities in production environments.
- Demonstrated expertise with modern JavaScript and TypeScript frameworks, including production React applications.
- Strong Angular or comparable frontend framework experience, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, responsive design, component patterns, hooks, state management, and routing.
- Experience with UI libraries such as PrimeNG or similar.
- Strong Node.js and Express.js experience building RESTful APIs.
- Experience designing and consuming OpenAPI and Swagger specifications.
- Hands-on relational database experience, preferably PostgreSQL, including SQL, indexing, and query optimization.
- Experience deploying and operating containerized services with Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.
- Familiarity with cron-style scheduling and event-driven or batch-processing patterns.
- Experience using AI-enabled development tools such as GitHub Copilot and validating and hardening AI-generated code.
- Experience with automated testing tools such as Jest, Vitest, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Familiarity with secure software development, code scanning, dependency management, and security testing.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI and Git-based workflows.
- Comfort with Agile or Lean delivery cycles and direct user feedback loops.
- Active Secret security clearance and eligibility to meet U.S. Government security clearance requirements; only U.S. Citizens are eligible for a clearance.
- Preferred experience includes secure government environments, AWS services, Apache Spark, Apache Hudi, Elasticsearch, Kong, service mesh, zero-trust patterns, geospatial applications, relevant certifications, and startup or greenfield platform development.
