Base Salary

$170k - $200k/yr

Responsibilities

Build robust, scalable, and maintainable backend services in Java and Scala.
Design and implement gRPC APIs for high-performance, real-time service communication.
Use Redis and MySQL for reliable, low-latency data storage and retrieval.
Deploy and manage Kubernetes microservices for scalability, resilience, and cost efficiency.
Build Kafka-based event-driven architectures for real-time data streaming and processing.
Partner with Hardware, Machine Learning, and Operations teams on ecosystem integration and tooling.
Analyze and resolve performance and scalability bottlenecks while maintaining system reliability and data integrity.

Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
8+ years of backend development experience, preferably with platform or core services.
Proven expertise in industry-standard programming languages, preferably Java and Scala.
Experience building gRPC APIs and using Redis and MySQL for database design and optimization.
Familiarity with Kubernetes container orchestration and scaling.
Hands-on experience with Kafka and event-driven architectures.
Strong analytical, technical problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Exposure to frontend integration with Next.js is a preferred qualification.
