Responsibilities
- Lead the Forward Deployed Engineering team technically by setting direction, mentoring engineers, unblocking complex projects, and maintaining a high engineering bar.
- Own strategic enterprise deployments from technical discovery through production rollout.
- Architect, build, and debug end-to-end integrations across APIs, webhooks, identity systems, email infrastructure, and enterprise security systems.
- Convert recurring customer deployment patterns into reusable product and platform capabilities.
- Build automation, systems, and internal tooling to make customer deployments faster and more scalable.
- Create feedback loops among customers, GTM, Product, and Engineering to influence product development.
- Define the technical boundaries between FDE work, core product or platform engineering, and partner engineering teams.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience building and shipping production software.
- Experience setting technical direction, mentoring engineers, and driving complex projects while remaining hands-on.
- Strong customer-facing technical experience with complex enterprise customers and the ability to turn ambiguous needs into production systems.
- Experience with APIs, webhooks, OAuth, SAML, SCIM, identity and authentication, and enterprise infrastructure.
- Ability to make architecture decisions and contribute directly to the codebase.
- Strong product judgment regarding customer-specific solutions versus reusable product or platform capabilities.
- Strong technical judgment, communication, and ability to work across customer calls, system design, debugging, Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Engineering.
- Experience with security platforms or SIEM/SOAR ecosystems is a plus.
- Experience building with LLMs, agents, or AI-powered workflows is a plus.
