Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design and implement AI/ML models and pipelines involving NLP, LLMs, deep learning, computer vision, and other mission-focused techniques.
- Build scalable data pipelines for model training, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
- Develop production systems involving APIs, microservices, automation frameworks, distributed systems, and cloud-native or edge-deployed AI services.
- Integrate AI/ML capabilities into operational environments with attention to security, reliability, observability, and performance.
- Optimize, tune, version, and A/B test models to evaluate mission impact.
- Use Python, Java, Scala, or Rust and modern AI/ML engineering practices.
- Collaborate with engineering, mission subject-matter experts, and product teams to define technical approaches and requirements.
- Prepare technical documentation, participate in design reviews, and support accreditation and security processes in classified environments.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience developing machine learning models involving areas such as NLP, LLMs, computer vision, deep learning, generative AI, or reinforcement learning.
- At least 5 years of experience developing AI/ML capabilities in a microservice stack.
- Experience developing or maintaining production-grade APIs, microservices, or distributed systems.
- Experience with data processing frameworks and scientific computing libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn.
- Experience designing, configuring, or deploying software systems in operational environments.
- Experience with CI/CD tooling, source control such as GitLab, and containerization technologies such as Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes.
- Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to take a polygraph examination.
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
- Preferred experience includes GPU programming with CUDA or RAPIDS, AWS deployment in classified environments, LLM orchestration, RAG pipelines, grounding, hallucination mitigation, MLOps platforms, distributed training, hybrid cloud environments, automated testing, and model evaluation frameworks.
- Preferred qualifications include a master's degree in a related STEM field and AI/ML, cloud, or solution architecture certifications.
