Base Salary

$93k - $210k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and build AI-powered developer tools and platform capabilities for development, testing, debugging, delivery, and operational workflows.
  • Prototype and evaluate LLMs, AI agents, reasoning approaches, retrieval systems, and other emerging AI technologies.
  • Develop production services integrating LLMs, agents, context and retrieval, tool integrations, orchestration, evaluation, and intelligent automation.
  • Own components across design, implementation, testing, deployment, observability, operations, and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to scalable, secure, reliable, and cost-efficient architecture and technical decisions.
  • Build automated evaluation, telemetry, experimentation, and feedback mechanisms to improve AI-powered experiences.
  • Investigate complex issues across distributed systems and AI components and implement durable solutions.
  • Collaborate across engineering, product, AI/ML, and OCI service teams to deliver end-to-end developer experiences.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and mentoring.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of software engineering experience designing, building, and operating production software systems.
  • Strong programming and software engineering skills with experience in distributed systems, cloud services, developer infrastructure, platform services, or large-scale backend systems.
  • Experience with or strong demonstrated interest in LLMs, generative AI, AI agents, or related AI technologies.
  • Experience designing and delivering reliable production software with APIs, scalability, testing, observability, performance, security, and operational excellence considerations.
  • Ability to work with ambiguous requirements, make engineering tradeoffs, and drive substantial technical work to completion.
  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Preferred experience includes AI-powered developer tools, coding assistants, intelligent testing or debugging systems, developer automation, developer productivity platforms, agentic workflows, tool use, context engineering, retrieval, inference, model APIs, AI evaluation, cloud-native systems, distributed systems, experimentation, and quantitative evaluation.

  • The posting provides a US hiring range of $92,500 to $209,500 per annum and notes potential bonus and equity eligibility.
