Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain native tvOS applications using Swift.
- Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, backend engineers, and QA teams to deliver new platform features.
- Build scalable, maintainable, reliable, and high-quality streaming applications.
- Optimize application startup time, navigation, memory usage, and video playback performance.
- Integrate RESTful APIs, authentication services, analytics platforms, and backend systems.
- Troubleshoot production issues, identify application bottlenecks, and implement solutions.
- Participate in architecture discussions and technical design decisions.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Write clean, tested, documented code following engineering best practices.
- Evaluate and implement modern Apple technologies.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering knowledge sharing.
- Support production releases and resolve customer-impacting issues with cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–7 years of professional experience in native iOS/tvOS application development.
- Strong proficiency in Swift and Apple frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with the tvOS SDK, UIKit, SwiftUI, the tvOS focus engine, and Apple's development ecosystem.
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and application architecture.
- Experience with Git, code review practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Xcode Instrumentation tools for profiling CPU, memory, and rendering performance.
- Knowledge of protocol-oriented programming and Swift protocols and extensions.
- Strong understanding of application performance tuning, memory optimization, and debugging techniques.
