Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and scale a team of Field Engineers supporting enterprise opportunities.
- Partner with Sales leadership and Account Executives on technical discovery, demos, proofs of concept, and technical deal strategy.
- Establish evaluation and proof-of-concept best practices for healthcare-specific requirements, including HIPAA, data governance, and legacy-systems integration.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex customer evaluations and high-stakes enterprise healthcare deals.
- Hire, onboard, and develop Field Engineering talent with healthcare or regulated-industry experience.
- Feed customer and prospect insights back to Product and Engineering and ensure effective handoffs to post-sales teams.
- Maintain deep knowledge of Cursor’s product, roadmap, and competitive landscape.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience leading Field Engineers, Solutions Architects, or pre-sales teams in enterprise software.
- Meaningful exposure to healthcare, health technology, or another regulated industry.
- Direct experience navigating health systems, payers, or healthcare software vendors, including their compliance, security, and procurement requirements.
- Proven ability to partner with Sales while maintaining technical integrity and customer trust.
- Comfort operating in customer-facing, high-pressure deal environments and guiding teams through complex evaluations.
- Strong communication skills and executive presence with developers, architects, CTOs, and healthcare IT leaders.
- Builder mindset and ability to create structure in a fast-moving startup environment.
