Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain a DevOps platform supporting software development, systems engineering, integration, and testing.
- Develop GitLab CI/CD pipelines and manage continuous integration and continuous delivery environments.
- Create reusable Infrastructure as Code configurations with Terraform across AWS or similar cloud platforms.
- Automate configurations within Kubernetes and support cloud networking, DNS, TLS, and ingress/egress routing.
- Maintain and harden cloud base images and perform infrastructure automation using scripting.
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend corrective actions and mitigation strategies for identified threats and vulnerabilities.
- Validate Information Assurance Controls and Validation Procedures in accordance with DoD Guidelines, CNSSI 1253, and NIST 800 publications.
- Perform DevSecOps validation, troubleshooting, documentation, infrastructure testing, and technical assessments.
- Document processes and services for cloud application development teams and collaborate on customer-relevant documentation.
- Coordinate with project teams to meet policies, quality targets, and delivery milestones.
Requirements
- At least six years of relevant experience, including at least three applicable areas such as systems or software engineering, systems administration, information assurance, integration, deployment, or documentation for C4ISR or federal IT systems.
- At least two years of related IT experience involving DevOps/DevSecOps engineering, CI/CD, build and release, SRE, operations engineering, systems integration engineering, or cloud administration.
- High school diploma or GED and technical training in IT or software application development.
- U.S. citizenship and an active interim DoD Secret clearance, favorable T3 equivalent investigation, or ability to obtain a favorable T5 equivalent investigation.
- DoD 8570-compliant certification, including CompTIA Security+ or equivalent at minimum IAT Level II, or ability to obtain it within a reasonable timeframe.
- Experience evaluating or assessing government cloud systems using DevSecOps principles and continuous security.
- Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code and preferably hands-on experience with Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar tools.
- Experience with Docker and Rancher, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Fargate, or similar container orchestration tools.
- Experience developing and managing CI/CD environments and integrating infrastructure automation with DevOps.
- Preferred hands-on experience with Jenkins, GitLab, HashiCorp Vault, Argo CD, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and Amazon EKS.
- Preferred understanding of DISA STIGs.
- Ability to travel to PI Planning events three times per year and attend ad hoc technical exchange meetings as needed.
