Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business users to define application requirements.
- Develop, test, and maintain clean, performant code for client applications.
- Support project delivery alongside Project Managers and Senior Engineers.
- Analyze large-scale time-series data and generate actionable reports.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to continuous learning.
- Work with clients and delivery teams to complete solutions on time and on budget.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of hands-on kdb+ development experience.
- Solid understanding of the q language and time-series data structures.
- Experience working in Unix/Linux environments.
- Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with software development methodologies and the SDLC.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent client-facing communication skills.
- Capital Markets or Investment Banking experience is advantageous.
- Bonus skills include AI tooling such as Claude or Co-Pilot, Python, AWS, GCP, Azure, other time-series databases, project leadership or people management, and contributions to internal tools, documentation, or community initiatives.
