Responsibilities
- Write and review stored procedures, functions, and programmable database objects for high-volume transaction processing systems.
- Serve as the SQL expert on scrum teams and support features through the software development lifecycle.
- Tune queries, execution plans, indexes, and database designs for optimal performance.
- Write and maintain unit tests and query performance baselines.
- Maintain version-control history, documentation, database deployment scripts, and rollback scripts.
- Monitor and maintain database development and deployment tooling.
- Review application data-access-layer code for database-call performance and security.
- Troubleshoot, debug, fix, deploy, and test solutions across application components.
- Support team members with SQL Server setup and troubleshooting questions.
- Train and mentor junior team members.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience in database administration.
- Experience writing SQL queries.
- Familiarity with object-oriented programming.
- Preferred experience writing and optimizing complex queries and performing database performance tuning.
- Preferred knowledge of payment systems and solutions.
- Preferred strong communication, writing, and diagramming skills.
- Preferred experience with GoLang.
