Responsibilities
- Own and sequence the agentification roadmap for a business domain based on ROI and dependencies.
- Run discovery with business stakeholders, define automation opportunities and success metrics, and conduct quarterly planning.
- Set architecture standards and review agent topology, escalation logic, data flows, and feedback loops.
- Remain hands-on with the most difficult technical problems and establish production-readiness, observability, and quality standards.
- Own domain-level outcomes including hours automated, error reduction, satisfaction, adoption, and the business case for future roadmap investments.
- Drive platform extraction, participate in cross-pod platform roadmap reviews, and decide what becomes shared infrastructure.
- Build FDE capability by coaching at least two FDE-1 engineers toward FDE-2, running design reviews, and making staffing decisions.
- Report agentification progress to BizApps leadership and, for major initiatives, the board.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience with a demonstrated multiplier orientation.
- Independent discovery experience mapping business processes, scoping automation targets, and defining success metrics.
- Architecture-level ownership of at least one production system, including agent topology, tool-calling chains, human escalation points, and feedback loops.
- Strong Python fundamentals and hands-on experience integrating LLMs such as OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, or Gemini into production systems.
- Experience leading or informally mentoring engineers with demonstrable impact on their growth.
- Ability to own business-facing outcomes, define metrics, diagnose design, data, or adoption problems, and act on findings.
- Prior experience as a technical lead, engineering manager, or Principal/Staff Engineer is preferred.
- Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, AutoGen, and RAG pipeline design is preferred.
- Familiarity with enterprise system integrations such as Salesforce or HubSpot is preferred.
- Experience presenting technical roadmaps to executive stakeholders is preferred.
- Senior-level experience spanning at least two of discovery, workflow architecture, and build and ship is preferred.
