Senior Performance Testing Engineer - Team Lead

Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end performance testing lifecycle, including requirements analysis, workload modeling, scripting, execution, monitoring, and reporting.
- Design and execute load, stress, endurance, spike, and volume tests using LoadRunner.
- Develop and enhance LoadRunner VuGen scripts using correlation, parameterization, checkpoints, and rendezvous points.
- Define performance test strategies, test plans, and success criteria for complex applications.
- Execute distributed tests using LoadRunner Controller and Load Generators.
- Analyze performance results, identify bottlenecks across application, database, middleware, and infrastructure layers, and prepare reports and dashboards.
- Integrate performance tests with Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or New Relic and correlate results with server-side metrics.
- Provide go/no-go recommendations, participate in root cause analysis and tuning discussions, and support production performance issues.
- Collaborate with development, architecture, infrastructure, and DevOps teams and participate in architecture reviews.
- Mentor junior performance testers and review scripts, test executions, and analysis.
Requirements
- 7–9 years of overall testing experience.
- 5–6 years of performance or non-functional testing experience.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Micro Focus/OpenText LoadRunner, including VuGen, Controller, and Analysis.
- Experience testing Web/HTTP, REST, and SOAP applications.
- Strong scripting skills in C and JavaScript.
- Experience with performance engineering concepts and best practices.
- Experience with Dynatrace or similar application performance monitoring tools; JMeter exposure is a plus.
- Understanding of JVM concepts, garbage collection, databases, SQL, connection pooling, and latency.
- Good knowledge of Linux/Unix commands and networking fundamentals.
- Experience testing applications hosted on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Exposure to Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD pipeline integration.
- Experience in BFSI, retail, e-commerce, or telecom domains is an advantage.
- Experience testing high-transaction, mission-critical systems is a plus.
