Forward Deployed Engineer
InformaticaResponsibilities
- Develop and deploy AI agents and customer experiences that take actions in production enterprise environments.
- Design agent intelligence, including prompts, reasoning, tool calls, and integrations with customer systems.
- Own technical components end to end, from architecture selection through deployment, validation, and observability.
- Build and integrate data pipelines using Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, Databricks, and customer data platforms.
- Model data, validate pipeline outputs, and maintain agent performance dashboards and customer KPI reporting.
- Deliver proofs of concept and MVPs, co-build with customers and partners, and provide enablement and best practices.
- Identify platform gaps, edge cases, and field insights for senior engineers and product teams.
- Partner with Deployment Strategists to translate customer challenges into deployable agentic solutions.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of software engineering or technical delivery experience and experience with at least one production system.
- A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Required prior customer-facing technical delivery experience, such as consulting, professional services, or forward deployed engineering.
- Fluency in at least one of Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, or Apex.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs and prompt engineering.
- Deep enough understanding of data modeling, APIs, and integration patterns to design them.
- Ability to work effectively with sales teams and customer architects.
- Strong software quality practices and rigorous evaluation of AI outputs.
- Active interest in evolving AI and data tools, models, and frameworks.
- Preferred qualifications include Salesforce platform experience or certifications, familiarity with LangChain or LlamaIndex, cloud data platform experience, and experience in data engineering, platform architecture, or headless deployments.
