Responsibilities
- Embed with strategic enterprise customer engineering teams and translate customer requirements into technical designs for AI-enabled production systems.
- Design, build, deploy, and operate production AI applications, including retrieval pipelines, workflow automation, API orchestration layers, and data integrations.
- Integrate foundation models, customer data sources, and existing applications while optimizing latency, reliability, and cost.
- Own the full software development lifecycle, including scoping, design, coding, testing, deployment, operations, maintenance, monitoring, evaluations, guardrails, and CI/CD.
- Troubleshoot production incidents across AI models, distributed systems, and application services and resolve operational root causes.
- Mentor and train new team members, participate in code reviews, and coach others on high-quality software development.
- Identify opportunities to expand customer AI adoption and create reusable patterns and accelerators for future deployments.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of experience working in an Agile, startup, or rapidly scaling environment.
- Experience communicating technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience with agentic and spec-driven development; AI agent development is a plus.
- Experience with AI tools, evaluation frameworks, agent tooling, retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, and prompt engineering.
- Preferred: experience in customer production environments and building or deploying AI/ML applications in production.
- Preferred: founder, engineering lead, or startup-building background with high ownership and urgency.
- Preferred: experience with React, TypeScript, Python, and/or Go.
- Preferred: customer interfacing, technical project leadership, end-to-end production system development, and AWS services experience.
