AI/ML Ops and Data Engineer

Responsibilities
- Design and build production-ready AI/ML-powered and security-related use cases on Google Cloud Platform.
- Lead end-to-end deployment from prototype to production with clear quality gates.
- Build and operate scalable batch and streaming data pipelines.
- Implement coding standards, test strategies, data quality checks, alerting, and operational runbooks.
- Ensure platform reliability, security, governance, and cost efficiency.
- Lead design reviews, resolve technical debt, enforce engineering standards, and mentor MLOps and data engineers while remaining hands-on.
- Support critical production systems and partner with data scientists, MLE, and operations teams.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in data or software engineering, including at least 2 years of technical leadership.
- Expert Google Cloud experience, especially with services used for AI/ML use cases.
- Expert Python skills for production-grade data and backend engineering.
- Strong SQL and data modeling skills for analytics, scalability, and operational workloads.
- Strong containerization, Git workflow, automated testing, release pipeline, observability, and reliability engineering skills.
- Solid cloud security and governance practices, including IAM, secrets management, least privilege, and auditability.
- Fundamental understanding of AI/ML lifecycle and model development, including training and serving integration, model versioning, and pipeline monitoring.
- Proven experience delivering production-grade AI/ML use cases on GCP or other cloud providers.
- Experience building and operating scalable batch and streaming pipelines and supporting critical production systems.
