Responsibilities
- Analyze release notes, code changes, and client customizations to assess upgrade impact and create low-impact upgrade paths.
- Upgrade and certify Duck Creek Billing client applications and resolve issues arising after upgrades.
- Debug custom and base code, troubleshoot databases and integrations, and provide workarounds or solutions to implementation teams and customers.
- Use Duck Creek upgrade tools and AI-driven processes to identify automation opportunities and reduce manual effort.
- Develop utilities and process improvements that make upgrades faster and more effective.
- Interact with customer counterparts to triage issues and present solutions.
- Collaborate with development, quality assurance, client support, technical leadership, and project management teams.
- Mentor team members, share knowledge, and communicate risks that may affect upgrade schedules.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science is strongly preferred.
- At least 3 years of related industry experience in system development and implementation.
- Proficiency in analysis, development, and triage.
- Demonstrated implementation experience with Duck Creek Billing and strong knowledge of billing forms, billing plans, payment plans, Direct Bill, Agency Bill, EFT/payment processing, and billing transactions.
- Hands-on development experience with C#, .NET, SQL Server, XML/XSLT, REST/SOAP APIs, and Duck Creek extensibility and configuration.
- Experience developing SQL queries and stored procedures and performing database troubleshooting and performance optimization.
- Insurance-domain knowledge, including P&C insurance software applications and software development lifecycles, is required or preferred as applicable.
- Experience troubleshooting Duck Creek Billing integrations with policy systems, payment gateways, general ledger systems, or document-generation systems.
- Knowledge of TFS, GitHub, and Git workflows is desirable.
- Experience with Duck Creek Billing upgrades and certifications, including assessing customizations, integrations, and compatibility.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
