Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and sustain Python-based applications, software, systems, and third-party integrations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design software solutions.
- Write clean, efficient, reusable, secure, testable code and participate in the full software development life cycle.
- Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and maintain code quality and functionality documentation.
- Debug existing Python codebases, resolve issues, optimize performance, and ensure scalability.
- Integrate software components into fully functional systems and support integration feature refreshes.
- Understand the product and how Security Services delivers its services.
- Continuously learn and adopt software development best practices and programming principles.
Requirements
- 7–9 years of professional experience as a software developer in an Agile environment.
- Professional software development experience, preferably contributing to projects in Python.
- Experience collaborating with multiple software developers while contributing code independently.
- Experience directly influencing the architecture and design of large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience working in Agile development teams; formal Agile training is preferred.
- A clear history of learning, skills development, and helping other software developers develop their skills.
- A clear history of technical influence, such as public conference talks or papers, is preferred.
- A master’s degree in computer science is preferred, not required.
- Ability to coordinate with distributed cross-functional teams, build productive working relationships, and adapt to emerging technologies and best practices.
